Oh no! The Map is Wrong!

We're back with Gelatinous Cube 19! Our prompt this week comes from the very lovely and talented Kyle Latino of Map Crow, who provides the inspiration for a wide-ranging discussion of cartographical errors, problems, and opportunities.

How does a map structure and ground the world of an rpg, and what might happen if the map proves false?

Our discussion references the excellent article The Anthropology of Cartography by Denis Wood (2012), highly recommended for a primer on the ways in which maps are always already fantasy documents.

Huge thanks to Stefan Surrat of Dragon Peak Publishing for letting us know our humble moonwater from episode 3 made it into his adventure Witches Don't Die. And finally a massive Gelatinous cheer for the Merry Mushmen and their forthcoming A Folklore Bestiary, we cannot wait to lay hands on it!
